Wantable Accessories January 2015

As I continue to grow fashion-wise I am starting to see the fun of accessories.  Prior to branching out with Stitch Fix, I rarely wore jewelry.  Now, picking out a neckace is one of the more enjoyable parts of my day.  This led me to a new subscription box called Wantable.com.  Wantable is a company out of Milwaukee, WI.  They are a styling service for Accessories, Intimates, Makeup, and Fitness Clothes.  You fill out a style profile for the type of box that you want and they will select 3-4 items for your box.  It is a flat rate of $40 for a box or $36 if you subscribe monthly.  The retail value of the box will be much higher than what you will pay.

My first box arrived in record time and I was very pleased.  Sunglasses, a necklace, and two bracelets

Stitch Fix #1 August 2014

So one late night my friend Janine posted a link on Facebook to a site called Stitch Fix with the caption "Rave reviews... I'm going to give it a try." I was intrigued and clicked on it.
Stitch Fix Personal Styling Service

You are welcomed to the site with a picture of cute shirts on a rack.  Stitch Fix is a clothing styling service. When you register, you will create a style profile by rating different styles of clothing and giving them your measurements and sizes.  They will handpick 5 items ranging from tops, bottoms, accessories, handbags, or outerwear and mail them to you.  You then have three days to try on the items and decided. Keep what you like and send back the rest in a prepaid envelope. You only pay for what you keep.  Please note that you will be charged a $20 styling fee when they begin processing your shipment . This $20 goes toward the purchasing items you select. So, the only downside is that if you send it all back, you will be out $20.  Fast forward 6 months and I've now received 7 shipments and kept 2-5 items each time.  Bonus: if you buy all five, you get 25% off the purchase price.

An example style that you will rate from "Love it" to "Hate it"

So on to my first Fix.  I received this back in August, so I had to dig through old photos for the blog.

I also received a pair of pants and a houndstooth skirt.  Overall, a successful first fix.

Tog + Porter

A Work in Progress....

I just got off of a Skype call with my Tog + Porter stylist, Camilla. First things first, what is Tog + Porter?
 https://www.togandporter.com

Camilla, Tog + Porter Stylist

It is an online clothing styling service.  You create a profile by telling them your style preferences and sizes.  A few days later you will have a Skype phone call from one of the stylists.  Tonight, we spoke for about 20 minutes. She asked general questions about the clothes I was looking for, likes and dislikes, and what I already own.  It was very easy going and comfortable.

She took notes during our phone call and will start searching for items for me.  She said to expect it to take about 2 weeks for her to gather items then ship them.  I will have seven days to try the clothes on and decide. Pay for what you keep, send back what you don't like.

In the meantime, I'm waiting for Stitch Fix #7(Try Stitch Fix), Wantable Accessories, Wantable, Intimates, and Wantable Makeup.  Try Wantable
